Harrington Porter's original site was the first one that Liveline built back in 2006. Since then they have grown into one of the London's leading landscape gardening firms and have opened a shop on the New Kings Road selling plants, flowers and garden furniture.
The Brief
Though the original website was very successful for the company, they felt that their competition had started to catch up with them over the preceding few years. Liveline were thus tasked with a redesign and redevelopment of the site that would reflect their growth, allow their very impressive portfolio to really sell themselves and also provide a clear representation of the expanded range of services that they now provide.
Our Solution
The redesign retained the same type of simply structured, image heavy layout that had proven so successful for them previously. However, it was given more colour, size and the portfolio images given even greater prominence. We also added a blog, so that they can advise both their customers and their visitors on things to be looking out for in their gardens as the seasons change. It also gives them a cost effective solution, allowing them to promote offers within the shop, opportunities for employment and so on. We have also managed Harrington Porter's pay per click marketing campaign for the last few years which has consistently given them a high return on their investment.
Result
"I found, having turned to Liveline to design our new website, the most important marketing tool for our recently expanded landscaping business, to be highly professional, efficient, knowledgeable and quite frankly a pleasure to work with.
As designers ourselves (garden ones!) we have always found it quite tricky leaving others to come up with visual concepts and styles for us, as we usually have a fairly strong idea of what we’d be looking for. However as we are learning all the time within our business, it is important to leave some things to those whose experience is in a particular field, and with that in mind, we gave Liveline free reign to create, design, program and develop our new site. (I was going to do the programming, i just didn’t have time)
We were not disappointed. We were impressed with their ideas, their logic behind these ideas and their implication. The job was completed in a satisfactory timeframe, we found all their team very communicative and helpful, (of significance here, was that we dealt with the same people throughout) their knowledge of website development and web marketing was obvious and impressive, and all in all we are extremely happy with the final product.
